We are looking for an experienced Facility Coordinator (f/m/d) to join the maintenance team our MEININGER Hotel Budapest.
Main Purpose & Scope of JobThe role will be accountable for overseeing the status of technical and lifesaving equipment’s of the assigned hotel and executing the daily operations and tasks in the field of building, technical installations and interior fittings. This position is also responsible for overseeing third party service suppliers and contractors in the field of Facility Management. Operating, testing and supervising all technical equipment’s such as Building Management System, elevators, sprinkler system, air changing and air conditioning units, fire protection equipment’s, utility supply, heating system, water system, electricity system and address any issues promptly and effectively towards subcontractors and Facility Management. Create clear reporting towards Hotel Management and Facility Management. Consecutively seeking for opportunities for cost saving.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine inspections and coordinate maintenance of hotel, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
Supervising and instructing Caretaker’s repair jobs. Schedule and delegate frequent preventive maintenance duties
Address any issues promptly and effectively.
Emergency Response: Be available to respond to emergencies, such as leaks, power outages, or security concerns, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to residents.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors, service partners and vendors for larger maintenance projects, renovations, or specialized repairs. Ensure that work is completed to the highest standards and within budget.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to local building codes and safety regulations.
Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing budgets for property maintenance, ensuring cost-effective solutions and tracking expenses.
Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs. Order replacements or new items as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Generate reports as required. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

- create lists and overviews for Operations Manager and Facility Management in the area of responsibility
provide coverage for other hotels if needed
- You perform visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds, execute exchange of wear and tear parts (light bulbs, mattresses, etc), basic repairs (furniture and bathroom equipment), small painting works, etc.
- You monitor and maintain utility areas and equipment
- You work closely with FM contractors and FM department in Berlin HQ to develop and execute maintenance plans
- You are responsible and keep stock of all maintenance inventory of supplies and equipment
- You respond to customer and management inquiries and requests and document them accordingly
- You are accountable for the interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel
