GIS Software Engineer

•Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code for geospatial applications.
• Collaborate with software architects, GIS specialists, and business analysts to design robust systems that integrate spatial data and mapping solutions.
• Develop and maintain geospatial tools and web mapping applications using leading libraries and frameworks.
• Analyze user needs to craft software solutions that meet both functional and spatial requirements, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal performance and reliability of software and spatial data processing.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including GIS-specific workflows and data management protocols.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams—including designers, product managers, quality assurance professionals, and GIS analysts—to deliver cohesive, user-friendly solutions.
• Identify and overcome technical challenges related to spatial data accuracy, system transformations, and performance optimization.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging geospatial technologies, and best practices in software development, contributing to the continuous evolution of our processes.
• Engage in Agile or other development methodologies to ensure timely and iterative delivery of high-quality software and geospatial solutions.

Professional Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Developer, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates successful projects—preferably including geospatial or mapping applications.

Skills:
• Proficiency in mainstream programming languages and platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of GIS technologies and standards, including experience with spatial databases and mapping platforms.
• Solid understanding of geodetic concepts, coordinate transformations, and spatial data processing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, tools, and processes, and a keen desire to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in both software and GIS domains.

Language & International Collaboration:
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
