Operational Management

• Oversee all daily operations of the production facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and implement lean production techniques to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across all production activities.

Financial Oversight

• Translate business forecasts provided by management into clear, actionable targets for the factory and define an aligned budget to achieve these goals.
• Manage the facility’s budget, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets.
• Analyse financial reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or delivery schedules.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of managers and employees to achieve performance excellence.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and employee development programs to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between the production facility and the group’s headquarters, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and local authorities.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain.
• Represent the facility in international meetings, reporting on performance and sharing best practices.

Innovation and Technology

• Drive the adoption of new technologies and digital solutions to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure the production process aligns with new product designs and innovations.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain the facility’s competitive edge.

Customer Focus

• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to meet customer expectations and contractual obligations.
• Handle escalations related to production delays or quality concerns, resolving them efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Educational background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA is considered an asset.
• Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality standards, particularly in automotive or truck production.
•  Language skills: Fluency in English and Hungarian is essential.

Experience

• Proven leadership experience: At least 10+ years in progressively senior roles within manufacturing or production environments, preferably in the automotive or heavy machinery sector.
• International exposure: Experience working in or managing operations within a multinational organization, with a proven ability to adapt to diverse business cultures.
• Operational expertise: Strong track record in managing large-scale production facilities, including implementing lean manufacturing or other efficiency-focused methodologies.
• Financial acumen: Demonstrated experience managing budgets, optimizing costs, and driving profitability in a production context.
• Change management: Experience leading transformations or expansions in rapidly growing and challenging environments.
