Responsibilities
The RoleThe Planner is responsible for ensuring the achievement of inventory and service targets within a designated portfolio by effectively managing production planning and execution. This role involves creating feasible and executable short- and mid-term production plans at third-party manufacturers, considering production capacity, material availability, and technological constraints.
The Planner monitors actual production against the plan, implementing corrective actions as needed to address any changes in the supply plan and working closely with TPMs to close supply gaps. Additionally, the role includes tracking and resolving issues related to quality and consumption workflows, ensuring that all processes are managed efficiently to support the overall supply chain objectives in cash and service.
The Planner is a key contributor to maintaining strong relationships with external partners to drive optimal performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:- Accountable inventory and service targets and results within a portfolio of sustainable external partners.
- Plan production at the TPMs of Finish goods and WIPs - Work in process - products.
- Supports TPM senior planner on execution horizon for strategical suppliers.
- Create a feasible and executable production plan at third parties for short and midterm.
- Develop a master production plan, which takes into account technology, production capacity and material availability.
- Control actuals against plan and take correction actions to address changes in supply plan.
- Work on closing supply gaps with TPMs.
- Track Quality resolution workflow.
- Manages TPM outbound shipments and exceptions through delivery coordination, expediting / de-expediting shipments.
- Issue Purchase Orders, monitor and track TPM performance metrics.
- Secure PO status from TPM; Coordinate deliveries from TPM to ELC DCs.
- Manage outbound shipments from TPMs - create STOs, complete GRs and handle exceptions through expediting/ de-expediting/ cancel shipments.
- Build strong working relationship with TPM operational team and secure information of production status, material/ component inventory (for free issue TPMs).
- Escalate supply side disruptions to GSR and TPM Senior Planners and technology lead to seek resolution.
- Collaborates with GSR counterpart and secure available and committed capacity information from TPMs.
- Works with Material Planner to ensure timely deliverance of materials and components to external suppliers and communicates any supply constraints impacting production.
- Works with transportation and logistics to receive inputs on any delays/ expeditions and incorporate into deployment plan.
- Update TPM capacity information data in the planning system and ensure its accuracy.
- Develop TPM scorecard and provide information to TPM Planners.
- Manage SAP maintenance of portfolio and lifecycle of a FG, including ECM phase in and outs.
- Utilizing planning systems such as 09 for constrained planning and to optimize demand supportability.
- Utilizing tools such as PSI for healthy inventory levels and PA to optimize service and mitigate forward risk.
