Software Engineer Manager

• Work with a team of engineers and ensure they work at their peak performance 
• Supervise training and development of software engineering staff  
• Proactively communicate issues and resolve escalations with customer-facing teams like support and sales  
• Develop a career path for all your team members, undertake performance evaluations
• Implement the product team’s roadmap, manage initiatives, and development life cycle using Scrum/Agile methodology  
• Be a key stakeholder in the release management cycle
• Keep up to date with modern development technologies and methodologies  
• Maintain success within team with continuous delivery and innovation 
• Ensure documentation and materials are up to date 

• People management skills and experience 
• Ability to mentor engineers and help them with career growth  
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience with agile development, rapid release cycles, and supporting customer-oriented solutions  
• Ability to initiate design and implement technical features end-to-end 
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (C# appreciated)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Great communication skills
• Fluent English knowledge
• Experience with working in startup environment is an advantage

• Proven experience with implementing software engineering industry best practices and SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations  
• Cybersecurity domain experience, especially malware analysis or network security is a plus

The Position
We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to join our Technology Development Center in Veszprém. Our team focuses on MetaDefender Managed File Transfer (MD MFT) solution.  You will have a strong software programming background with the right personality to lead and set an example for the software development team.
