Site Finance manager / Automotive

About the Role:
Our client, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier with over 100,000 employees worldwide, is seeking a skilled Site Financial Manager to lead a team of 5 Finance and Accounting specialists. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial operations, optimize performance, and contribute to the long-term financial success of the site. Your expertise in financial planning, risk management, and process improvement will be key to shaping the organization’s future.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Strategy:

• Lead and manage financial processes to align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Play an active role in new project initiatives, providing financial insights and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with both local regulations and internal financial policies.
• Oversee investment decisions and long-term financial planning to support business growth.
• Monitor tax regulations and filings, ensuring full compliance while minimizing tax liabilities.
• Implement strategies to optimize spending and improve financial efficiency.

Analysis, Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain and control financial process documentation, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Perform failure analysis, offering proactive solutions to prevent future issues.
• Prepare presentations and detailed reports for management meetings.
• Provide key financial insights to support critical business decisions, including project evaluations and expansion plans.
• Produce forecasts, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing budget variances.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Report directly to the Hungarian site director and the Head of Finance Europe.
• Lead and mentor a finance team of 5 professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Drive results that align with the organization’s objectives and ensure financial stability.

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in finance management within the automotive industry.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of driving change and improvements.
• A collaborative and operational mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
• Based in the Gyor region primarily or willing to relocate.
• Fluent in both English and Hungarian.
• Proactive, results-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
