This position will focus on overseeing and managing international corporate income taxes and compliance, as well as reviewing international tax packages, foreign tax account reconciliations, and tax-related financial reporting requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Serves as a key point of contact for global controllers to support international tax operations. 
  • Oversees and manages international corporate income tax provision and compliance with the support of global third-party outsource firms, controllers, and other corporate tax staff.
  • Prepares and reviews international tax packages, foreign tax account reconciliations, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions and other tax-related financial reporting requirements related to the quarterly and annual tax provision processes. 
  • Evaluates application of and performs calculations for US tax impacts of foreign transactions.
  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of international tax legislation changes.
  • Provides support with respect to foreign audits.
  • Supports the global business teams by providing advice and explaining implications of potential decisions on the tax treatment of transactions across our organization.
  • Assists with tax planning initiatives.
  • Provides support for indirect/VAT and payroll tax issues.
  • Supports special projects.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Accounting certification (CPA or similar)
  • Minimum of 10 years of Tax-related experience either in practice for a major accounting firm or large multinational publicly-traded corporation
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Experience managing a process or team in a matrix environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and experience with large datasets
  • Strong organization skills, able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented self-starter and team player with demonstrated ability to deliver quality work consistently
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‐solving skills
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to learn complex reporting systems and terminology quickly
  • Commitment to results with the ability multi‐task and prioritize workload, retaining ownership and accountability under pressure
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with US GAAP corporate income tax accounting
    • International corporate income tax provision reporting and compliance experience
    • Exposure to indirect taxes
    • Experience with tax provision software (i.e. OneSource Tax Provision or similar)
    • Experience working with international teams
    • Experience training and managing junior team members
