Senior Java Developer - Finance & banking - Contractor (GYT)

Location: Budapest XI. district, hybrid (3 days office/week)

Salary: competitive

Type of employment: contractor, project length 6 month

Start: ASAP

• Senior level of Java development (6+years exp)
• JVM experience,
• Functional programming Clojure experience
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and source control systems; (Git / BitBucket a plus)
• Experience working with cloud-based server environments; (AWS ideally)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Redis or Other)
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment. (Jenkins a plus)
• Experience with Scrum team in an Agile
• Fluent English language knowledge
• Candidate needs to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary

• Work as part of a development environment that is geographically diverse
• Help lead and mentor from the tech perspective members of the team
• Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software backend (REST API) solutions, JSON, HTTP, RESTful services
• Define requirements for new applications and customization adhering to bank card standards, processes, and best practices

• Experience writing automated acceptance tests in Cucumber, Rest Assured, etc. (used in CI/CD pipelines)
• Kafka knowledge
