Senior controller

We’re currently looking for a Senior Controller to join their headquarters’ controlling team.
In this strategic and analytical role, you’ll oversee the financial controlling activities of a designated business unit, drive process improvements, and provide decision-makers with timely, data-driven insights.

Your Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Contribute ideas and insights to shape the group's financial strategy.
• Support annual business planning and ad hoc forecasting processes.

Controlling & Reporting

• Oversee controlling activities for a designated business unit.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and market trends.
• Prepare management reports, profitability analyses, and cost breakdowns.
• Create data-driven recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Support the financial performance tracking of subsidiaries.

Process Improvement & Projects

• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
• Participate in optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal controlling and reporting systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build strong partnerships with internal teams and departments.
• Liaise with external service providers when needed.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues and interns.

 

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• End-to-end payroll experience is a must – it’s essential that you have full-cycle payroll knowledge and hands-on experience.
• 4-5 years of experience in controlling or financial analysis.
• Fluent Hungarian and English skills, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Experience working in a corporate HQ or stock exchange–listed company.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS or experience in an IFRS reporting environment.
• Background in an international business setting.
