As Senior Controller you will be a member of the headquarters' controlling team and will primarily be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the controlling activities of a designated business unit. Additionally, you will contribute to the effective operation of the entire organization by supporting the improvement of processes, preparing analyses, and providing management with accurate and timely financial information to aid in decision-making.

Your tasks will be:

STRATEGY

  • Participate in and provide suggestions for the development of the financial strategy.

PROFESSIONAL TASKS

  • Support the financial activities of the AutoWallis Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Analyze financial processes and develop recommendations for their improvement.
  • Incorporate conclusions from analyses and evaluations into reports and summaries.
  • Prepare managerial reports.
  • Conduct profitability calculations, pre- and post-cost analyses.
  • Prepare various reports based on internal and market data, analyze them, and formulate recommendations.
  • Actively participate in optimization projects and their implementation, including formulating recommendations.
  • Prepare operational reports, statistics, and statements related to the group’s functioning.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the group’s annual business plan and occasional forecasts.
  • Prepare forecasts for business units and subsidiaries.
  • Monitor and analyze the business results of subsidiaries and the market trends.
  • Actively participate in the further development of the group's controlling system, particularly IT systems, databases, and executive reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements in financial areas and support related initiatives.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with colleagues from affiliate companies and other central departments and provide guidance to interns or external groups, as needed.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Participate in occasional and ongoing projects, determining the required level of project management.

COST MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for the costs of the designated business unit.
  • Contribute to cost planning and monitoring.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS

  • Define and manage relationships with internal clients, primarily business unit leaders and other departments, and handle related responsibilities.

SUPPLIER RELATIONS

  • Manage tasks related to external service providers, including communication, tendering, and follow-ups, as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • High level of independence and proactive approach to work.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in an international corporate environment.
  • Experience in a corporate headquarters or within a stock exchange-listed company is considered a distinct advantage.
  • Expertise in using Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or experience working in an IFRS environment.
