Main tasks, responsibilities:

  • Review and verification of invoices for relevant documentation and approval before payment, formal and accounting verification of purchase invoices
  • Independent and correct registration of purchase invoices in the books with the use of IT accounting systems
  • Responding to all supplier/customer inquiries, e-mail correspondence and telephone contact with the supplier/customer beyond the scope of one' s postings
  • Help and support for other team members, based on procedural knowledge
  • Identifying potential process improvements, taking care of the development and adjustments of the process and its appropriate documentation
  • Issuing of corrective documents
  • Solve and report any inconsistencies in the posting and process
  • Preparation of daily and monthly process monitoring reports (KPI reports)
  • Accurate documentation of processes in compliance with the company's policy and accepted accounting principles, providing documentation for control and preserving historical data through appropriate archiving of accounting documents and related documentation
  • Master data management in accounts payable
  • Other duties assigned by the manager (e.g. accounting for bank statements, preparation of account analysis, preparation of electronic transfers and cheques)

Requirements:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in accounting (preferably accounts payable) or other relevant area
  • Expert accounting knowledge level (proven by internal exam/work experience or adequate diploma)
  • German and English language skills (communicition level)
  • SAP experience required
  • Preferably experience in the automotive industry or in a large corporation
  • Seeburger Invoice Processing knowledge and experience is an advantage
  • Good work organisation plus methodical and analytical approach to work
  • Ability to concentrate and attention to details
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Good supplier/customer service skills
  • Readiness to learn and update professional knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and plan work
  • Ability to see and report inefficiencies and areas that hinder the implementation of entrusted tasks
