Proposal & Content Copywriter - Expert

Your role in a nutshell:

The role is responsible for gathering industry best practice, suggest and support the strategic directions of the Proposal management team. The role is heavily involved in creation of said strategy and translating these into actions for the team with a pro-active and forward-looking approach. The role is involved in the collection and maintenance of best-in-class examples of bid content and information to create a complete library of content available for all standard products and solutions. This role is also responsible for the quality control and management of standardized Product and Solution collateral to be hosted and managed on the global content and RFx platform.

 

This role is also responsible for creating and developing best-in-class proposals for the most complex deals across Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE), IOT and Cloud & Security. 
This role specializes in creating and editing high quality documentations for Vodafone Business’ bid submissions, ensuring that proposals satisfy both the customer's and the company's requirements, delivering an exceptional opportunity conversion rate, where Vodafone are able to win more business through demonstrating greater value add to the customer’s needs. This role is critical to facilitate efficient communication of the proposal strategy and build the bid presentation, including coaching the broader bid and sales team as required.

What you’ll do:

  • Follow and gather industry best practices across the board, based on which you can suggest and support strategic directions for the team.
  • Create and own the end-to-end proposal strategy – from the bid kick-off until bid submission.
  • Work directly with sales to develop the win strategy and hot buttons of the customer.
  • Create and build the proposal based on identified win strategy to make sure we have addressed their hot buttons and requirements. Build up all proposal related documents required during the bid.
  • Work directly with bid teams, Commercial Leads and sales on bid submission and customer presentation.
  • Peer review and assess proposals for quality control, and continuous improvement, to deliver increased win rate.
  • Reviews complex proposals produced by the bid managers from the point of the use of language (English) and ensures the highest quality standards.
  • Coach the bid team (Commercial Leads, Solution Architect, Service Managers, Account Manager) on proposal content messaging.
  • Use industry best practices and shares them with commercial resources.
  • Work with content owners, system developers on quality and system improvement projects, provides subject matter expertise on reusable and bespoke content for proposal creation.
  • Develop and reviews proposal templates across Vodafone Lines of Businesses to achieve a consistent look and writing style to content and proposals.
  • Monitor customers’ questions, feedback and needs to align the library accordingly.
  • Work with and coach 3rd party agencies to create a fully bespoke proposal document tailored to the customer’s requirements.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching for all participants of the bidding process throughout the bid lifecycle

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Expert in proposal writing and content management, with class-leading copywriting, proof-reading and publishing skills
  • Proven track record of of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders at staff or higher level
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Expert in producing “Shipley” style proposal documents
  • Qualified to minimum APMP Practitioner level or equivalent
  • Familiar with SharePoint collaboration methods
  • Experience of producing proposal material using PowerPoint, video, Internet (desired)
  • Ability to refine messaging and value proposition in written content
