Production Development & Technology Engineer
A Snapshot of Your Day
You are working together with your direct colleagues and other departments on introducing new manufacturing processes and improving existing processes related to transformer manufacturing. This could be a quick response to a recent problem, issuing a simpler work instruction, or specifying and procuring new high-value manufacturing equipment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Technical responsible for the dedicated manufacturing process
- Daily technical support of manufacturing
- Create, maintain procedures, instructions
- Lead / support NPI projects
- Collect, analyze data from manufacturing and develop the processes
- Define SC/CC characteristics
- Compile, analyze, report and react to costs of poor quality
- Be a member of Process – and Design FMEA team
- Support internal process audits
- Support Customer audits
- Support Customer PPAP submission activities
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering / manufacturing
- Engineer (electrical, mechanical) -/ technical degree (technical college or university)
- Ability to cooperate with other departments (Engineering, Production, Quality, EHS, Sales, Purchasing)
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge about distribution transformers is an advantage
- Experience with the 5core tools (8D, 5Why, APQP, PPAP, FMEA) is an advantage Experience with lean tools&methods is an advantage
- Fluent English both verbal and written
- Flexibility to international travels, mostly in Europe (5%)
- Comprehensive computer skills (MS Office; ERP handling – SAP knowledge is an advantage)
- Good communication skills
