Product engineer

• Works independently or with others to design and document components for Amphenol Industrial electrical connectors.
• Use of CAD & similar based systems (SolidWorks preferred) to be able to release build to print drawing packages and BOM’s for MRP system to drive materials.  
• Develops Bill of Materials, documentation, and provides support for other departments.
• Responsible for development and the accuracy of new release packages.
• Create Engineering Change Notification (ECN)
• Learn Core product knowledge from Lead Design Engineers overseas as required as well as product marketing team, with a focus on gaining the design intent of the core product components & assemblies. 
• Design – Generates creative solutions. Translates concepts and information into images. Uses feedback to modify designs. Applies design principles. Demonstrates attention to detail.
• Technical Skills – Assesses own strengths and weaknesses. Pursues training and development opportunities. Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Shares expertise with others.

• Teamwork – will be required to work within multiple different teams to fulfill Product and design engineering requirements on more than one project at the same time.

• Planning/Organizing – Prioritizes and plans work activities. Uses time efficiently. Plans for additional resources. Sets goals and objectives. Develops realistic action plans.
• Proactive attitude - Must be willing to receive assignments on new projects or designs and communicate with the direct supervisor to confirm priorities when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
• Experience in production environment.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to work on their own and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Experience in automotive production; knowledge of IATF 16949 standard
• Experience of product assembly process, product design or tooling design
