Responsibilities

    Financial Controllers is the largest department in Finance primarily responsible for controlling daily profit and loss reporting, balance sheet and expenses for all business. We work closely across functions daily (Front Desk, Business Management, Risk Management, Operations, and other areas of Finance) and develop a deep understanding of the products offered, along with the associated market risks and accounting complexities.
Requirements
  • Working with FX team based in Budapest but also working very closely as part of the wider Global team to drive consistency and control of processes to ensure accurate, timely and completeness of financials.
  • Preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes.  Review of financial disclosures and variance analysis commentaries
  • Manage the on-going communication and P&(L)/B/S reviews with relevant Business partners and key stakeholders. Directly impacts the leadership in multiple processes through responsibility for delivery of end results leading to business solutions.
  • Drive improvements to the control infrastructure (reducing number of adjustments through DCRM/drive data quality issues/EUCs elimination) and adherence to the Manager Control Assessment policies and procedures.
  • Identify continuous opportunities for Finance synergies and drive the changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate/Lead ad-hoc projects that arise relating to further streamlining (or retirement) of existing systems or assisting in the implementation in the introduction of new systems.
  • Work closely with various areas of the Finance department, liaising with the Trading Desk, Risk Management, Operations, Middle Office and IT teams
  • Use effective escalation to ensure issues are highlighted in a timely manner. Focus on recurring issues and drive through enhancement projects and systems fixes
  • Support standardization efforts and work on strategic as well as ad-hoc projects to improve the company's Product Control system infrastructure and to implement process improvement ideas

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance (similar role is an advantage)
  • University/College degree in Finance/Accounting is an advantage but not a must and we are open to other majors
  • A disciplined and dedicated independent lead analyst who proactively seeks to improve the existing controls and streamline processes. This can be from a tactical short-term viewpoint, and from a strategic long-term perspective, following through and delivering on these initiatives.
  • Commitment to increase technical and specialized skills in FX derivative market.
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word. Training will be provided other in-house, and industry standard systems used on this position.
  • SAP and/or Oracle knowledge would be an advantage
