Responsibilities
- Establish and Maintain Engineering Documentation: Develop, sustain, review, and update BOMs, process flows, control plans, FMEAs, work instructions (WIs), technical models and drawings, and other related documents for metal processing.
- Establish and Maintain BOM in SAP System: Create and update BOMs in SAP with accurate component details, ensuring they reflect current product specifications and requirements.
- Manage BOM Changes and Approvals: Oversee the approval process for BOM changes, coordinating with relevant teams, and maintain a detailed history of all changes in SAP.
- Introduce New Products and Processes: Ensure effective introduction of new products, processes, tools, and machines into the manufacturing environment.
- Develop and Optimize Tools and Processes: Develop, implement, and optimize tools, jigs, and processes of metal processing technologies.
- Maintain Process Engineering Tools: Ensure process-related engineering tools (BOMs, flow charts, work instructions, standard times, jigs, etc.) are readily available, accurate, and efficiently used.
- Train Key Operations Staff: Take responsibility for training key operations staff involved in metal processing technologies.
- Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support to the maintenance and production teams for troubleshooting respective technologies, ensuring smooth production.
- Handle Process Escalations: Serve as the focal point for process escalations, addressing and resolving issues promptly. Carry out any tasks assigned per company requirements within the general job scope of a Process Engineer.
Requirements
- Metal Coating: Expertise in metal coating technologies and processes, specifically powder coating. CAD proficiency (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design work is required or Metal Manufacturing: Proficiency in metal machining (laser cutting, milling) or metal joining (MIG/MAG and TIG robotic welding) is required. CAD skills (2D/3D) for part and assembly design are a plus.
- Possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Possesses the ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Knowledge of process engineering tools and practices such as process flows, control plans, FMEA, and SOPs.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and techniques (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) is advantageous.
- Experience in using SAP to manage product BOMs.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information clearly.
- Proficient in MS Office.
