NPI Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design & specify, procurement and validation of manufacturing, machine, stamping die, test tooling/fixtures, machines and equipment retrofit, improvement on existing and running equipment;
  • Lead PFMEA and Process Mapping activities to identify manufacturing risks and optimize build processes;
  • Define and management of the Layout modification link to the equipment that are included into his project responsibilities;
  • Development of processes and procedures;
  • Preparation and release of Work Instructions detailing of all processes;
  • Creation of product routings within SAP system;
  • Support all aspects of pre-production and post-launch production through to project closure (from process definition until the introduction as mass production which is running on quoted performance);
  • Manage the acceptance of the equipment by the Plant department like HSE, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering;
  • Develop and implement training programs for process colleagues regarding new technologies, products, manufacturing systems;
  • Influence design to ensure new designs are optimized for manufacture, performance, yield and cost.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Mechanical, Electronical or Mechatronical Engineering;
  • 3-5 years relevant experience on similar field;
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean deployment;
  • Superior communication skills, self-starter and results-orientated personality;
  • Hands-on capability with good knowledge of manufacturing;
  • Ability to use CAD (Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD) to design fixtures and analyze product designs;
  • Strong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation;
  • Strong Analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills;
  • Fluency in English.
