Responsibilities

The Role

Execute all PO management functions with our key suppliers supporting a specific region. The individual must manage orders to ensure on time delivery to our in-house manufactures, as well as, third party facilities. The planner will manage purchase orders (POs) to minimize disruptions to the business and will resolve operational bottlenecks identified throughout the process, while escalating issues appropriately. This individual will interact with our supply base on a daily / weekly as a representative of the Estée Lauder Companies to drive mutual collaboration which will benefit the relationship between both parties.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure required delivery dates are met, Resolve escalated issues within execution horizon, eg. expedite/ de-expedite not agreed by suppliers, volume change etc. to support material schedulers.
  • Provide visibility into material constraints, changes to the supplier delivery dates and any bottlenecks (operational) to Global MPS Planner / TPM Planner.
  • Manage and track POs, including ordering, expediting, de-expedite & canceling - following up and escalating where applicable.
  • Manage EMQ - Order High / Order Low process.
  • Re-deploy materials globally across distribution centers and sites.
  • Manage and track material expiration - labeling materials and organizing through rotation and cycle counts.
  • Undertake material requirements planning, confirm purchase requests, issue POs (track automatic POs issuance) in order to support finished goods production plans and maintain finished good s supply.
  • Identify and understand supply (material/ components) risk, develop action plan to resolve and/or reduce the risk.
  • Validate operational / strategic horizon material/ component requirement at commodity level and provide visibility to strategic suppliers. Work with GSR to secure supplier capacity information.

  • Conduct regular demand / delfor reviews with suppliers to help identify any potential supply issues in the future.
  • Check planning parameters are correct and up to date.
  • Implement phase out/phase in procedure to ensure efficient management; minimizing excess/obsolescence.
  • Support identification of opportunities to increase agility i.e. PDT or MLS reduction with suppliers.
  • Resolve escalated issues within execution horizon such as expedite/ de-expedite, volume change etc. to support material schedulers.
  • Manages de-expedites of orders working with Material Scheduler, and cancellation charges with suppliers (liability orders).

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in material planning, supply planning, sourcing / purchasing and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with supply planning and supplier collaboration tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, O9, Microsoft Suite, etc.).
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work effectively with teams.
  • Experience with Supplier Negotiations/Customer service a plus.
  • Business proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of additional languages such German/ French/ Italian/ Polish/ Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean are a plus.
  • CPSM, APICS or similar certificates are a plus.
