We’re looking for a
Logistics Manager to take ownership of day-to-day delivery operations in a growing branch of an international company. This is a hands-on middle management role, ideal for someone who already has some leadership experience and wants to learn, grow, and build something as the company expands with new delivery areas, additional trucks, and a larger driver team.
This is not a “forward emails up and down” job. You’ll be running a vital part of the operation and shaping how it scales, you will be involved with daily delivery problems, running in and out of the office and getting yourself involved with the delivery as well.
1) Drivers, compliance, and performance- Manage the drivers team: hiring, onboarding, day-to-day leadership, coaching, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure legal and operational compliance (tachographs, working time/rest, documentation, internal standards)
- Plan shifts and coverage (holidays, absences, replacements) and react fast to daily operational changes
- Handle incidents and service issues professionally (delivery complaints, damages, driver-related issues) and take corrective actions immediately
- Promote a safety-first culture and continuous improvement in driving quality and customer delivery standards
2) Fleet and supplier management - Keep the fleet operational and compliant: technical inspections, servicing schedules, repairs, documentation tracking
- Coordinate workshops and service partners; manage downtime and ensure repairs are cost-effective and fast
- Support buying new vehicles (specs, partner communication, handover, readiness)
- Own supplier relationship management: negotiate conditions, evaluate performance, find new partners when needed
- Control and validate supplier invoices related to fleet/logistics and resolve discrepancies
3) Route planning and KPI management - Plan efficient daily delivery tours: assign drivers/vehicles based on capacity, geography, customer requirements, and time windows
- Track logistics KPIs and prepare regular reporting
- Identify root causes behind issues and implement practical actions to improve performance, quality, and cost efficiency
4) Administration and process discipline- Handle key administrative duties for the department (records, reports, compliance files, internal procedures)
- Support audits/controls and ensure consistent adherence to schedules, rules, and operational standards
