Responsibilities

  • System Installation and Configuration:
    • Set up and configure servers, network devices, and software applications.
    • Install and maintain operating systems, both server and client-side.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor system performance and availability using various tools.
    • Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
    • Apply patches and updates to software and hardware to keep systems secure and efficient.
  • User Management:
    • Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts and permissions.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for users.
  • Network Management:
    • Configure and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Ensure network security and performance optimization.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Generate reports on system performance, usage, and incidents.
  • Security:
    • Implement security measures to protect data and systems from threats.
    • Regularly conduct security audits and assessments.
  • Collaboration and Training:
    • Work with other IT staff and departments to implement new technologies.
    • Train users on software and systems.

Requirements

 

  • On-Site Work: Must be willing to work 100% on-site in the plant, directly engaging with the production environment.
  • Hands-On Role: This is not a purely office-based job; candidates should expect direct involvement in physical tasks like pulling cables, replacing equipment, and handling technical implementations on the shop floor.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both German and English is ideal, with German being a significant advantage. Fluent Hungarian.
  • Flexibility in Hours: Must be willing to work outside of standard business hours, including on-call duty, to support production needs.
  • Independent and Communicative: Needs to be self-sufficient, able to work autonomously, and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Education/Experience: Background in IT System Administration, with relevant education and professional experience.
  • OT/Production Environment Experience: Must have experience working in Operational Technology (OT) or production settings, where IT systems directly interface with manufacturing processes.
  • First & Second Level Support: Should be adept at providing both first and second-level support, handling both initial troubleshooting and more in-depth technical issues.
  • Firewalls: Strong understanding of firewall configuration, management, and security protocols.
  • Networks: Proficient in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Servers: Knowledgeable in server maintenance, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Active Directory: Experience managing users, groups, and permissions through Active Directory.
  • SaaS Services: Strong knowledge of SaaS platforms, including Office 365, Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and Azure cloud services.
