IT Operations Expert

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an IT Operations Expert to manage and oversee the daily operations of our main IT services (Loyalty and Data Lake). This role ensures systems and services are reliable, secure, and efficient, supporting our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Coordination: Act as the single point of contact for all IT operations within Digital Factory, providing team leadership, direction, and oversight.
  • System Operations: Ensure the proper and effective operation of systems, maintaining high performance and reliability.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist technical staff in resolving issues, ensuring objectives are met, and managing IT issues related to Digital Factory’s services.
  • Performance Assessment: Assess system performance, recommend improvements, and manage IT operation knowledge and daily practices.
  • Stakeholder Guidance: Provide guidance to stakeholders, contribute to designing Ops-wide processes, and prepare/review operation metrics and KPI scorecards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze and initiate continuous improvement projects to ensure efficiency.
  • Strategic Contribution: Assist senior management in setting goals that promote company growth and profitability.
  • SLA Management: Ensure SLAs are met through internal and external resources, managing and controlling daily activities.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

 

  • Education: BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field. ITIL Foundation certificate is required. TOGAF and/or SAFe certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
    • Experience with CI/CD
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in an agile environment across multiple projects
  • Professional Competencies:
    • Agile DevOps strategies, processes, and tooling
    • Modern ITSM knowledge
    • Retail domain knowledge is advantageous
  • Skills:
    • Proven experience as IT Operations Manager
    • Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis
    • Team management experience (local, near-, and offshore)
    • Business fluency in English (written and verbal)
    • Knowledge of Azure services, operation, and technologies
    • Up-to-date with evergreen IT technologies and architectures (certification is a plus)
    • Proven experience in agile & DevOps approaches, processes, and tools
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills
    • Problem-solving aptitude
    • SAFe methodology knowledge is a plus
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources
  • Languages: Fluency in English and one Central Eastern European language.
  • IT Skills: ITIL certification (preferably ITIL4), IT Operation expertise, understanding of CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Other: Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, positive attitude, strong sense of ownership and team mentality, openness to different cultures across CEE, passion for skill growth and tackling challenging problems.
