IT Lead

We are looking for a hands-on operative IT Lead to take ownership of local IT systems, business applications, and related processes within a reputable international organization in the healthcare and retail services sector. This role combines strategic impact with hands-on execution — ideal for someone who enjoys both leading an IT function and being directly involved in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, implement, optimize, and maintain all local IT & ERP systems, ensuring reliability and continuous operation.

• Oversee system performance and proactively manage improvements to make business applications more efficient and user-friendly.

• Drive local IT initiatives that directly support business performance and process optimization.

• Manage and support a Hungarian IT team of three, contractors and third party IT service providers, acting as both leader and active contributor in operational activities.

• Provide hands-on support for business applications, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), ensuring smooth daily operations.

• Work closely with external development partners to design and deploy technical enhancements.

• Ensure high-quality data management, integrations, and system connectivity with healthcare-related platforms.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with management and other business units to align IT solutions with operational needs.

• Guarantee compliance with IT policies, security standards, and business continuity requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Business Informatics, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT operations and business application support.

• Fluency in Hungarian and in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).

• Proficiency in SQL and Excel is a must.

• Experience in managing or coordinating IT teams/projects.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong business orientation.

• Experience in system development or customization is an advantage.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is a strong advantage; retail background is a plus.
