Accountable for ensuring delivery against the overall and individual Procurement Targets defined for the organisation and the assigned categoryAccountable for consolidating supplier, market, category and internal business data and information to form the Category Strategy and run sourcing activitiesAccountable for developing and implementing a cohesive, business-aligned long-term Category Strategy at both the category and sub-category level, in alignment with key senior stakeholders across all BUs and DivisionsAccountable for developing and communicating Category Plans for key areas of the categoryResponsible for the communication of the final Category Strategy and Category Plans to the relevant stakeholdersAccountable for ensuring the resources, information and tools are in place for project execution throughout the categoryOwns the key supplier relationship and defines governance process.Accountable for ensuring robust contractual arrangements are in place for the categoryAccountable for the development of the “Category Playbook” to summarize the strategy, to communicate key contacts and suppliers and to guide the best practice approach to operational buyingAccountable for monitoring compliance and adherence to Trivium Procurement policies and proceduresResponsible for ensuring internal issues are addressed and resolved on a timely mannerActively drive integration of Procurement in core business processes, ensure the implementation of Procurement governance model and ensure consistency with the Trivium requirements and standardsAssess and manage risks across the Procurement categories while developing and contributing to a risk strategy for the categories together with mitigating actionsManage contracts throughout their entire lifecycle including all changes, variations and claim managementBuild strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate more innovative and beneficial contractual agreements and service levelsManage negotiation process, content and resultsLead the negotiation team to define the desired outcome of a negotiationIdentify stakeholders; understand and interpret their current and future needs and manage their expectations. Give advice and build long-term value partnershipsBuild strong rapport with key suppliers and establish appropriate governance model aligned with the Category strategyEstablish cross-functional teams to negotiate and implement improved service deliveryCollaborate closely with relevant departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key procurement strategies and policiesTrack and report savings, monitor TCO improvement as well as working capital improvement using the tracking tools in place in line with Procurement Savings DefinitionProvide periodic and ad hoc reports and forecasts on performance against plan and potential in following up on KPIs and reporting on trends
This role will suit you if you have the following:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.8-10 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a strong focus on indirect categories.Multiple years of experience in managing complex stakeholder environments.Reputable Negotiation Training CertificationAbility to develop high impact sourcing strategies. Exhibits thought leadershipSolid analytical skills. Able to define and understand the most critical issuesStrong negotiating skills. Thorough understanding of sales/marketing practicesAbility to develop actionable recommendations and implementation plansExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong management skills, with emphasis on people developmentSolid knowledge of contracting principles and ability to draft key contractual terms independently.Demonstrated world class supplier relationship skills. Purpose of the role:
The IT Category Manager’s main role is to independently create, manage and deploy purchasing strategy for assigned commodity groups.
The role includes but not limited to management of strategic sourcing activities for IT including but not limited to categories such as Hardware, Software, SaaS, Telecom, IT Consultancy, IT Security Services and other IT Services.
The person is responsible to convert business needs into sourcing actions, securing optimal price/value ratio of purchases and delivering agreed saving initiatives. The Category Manager is the primary face towards suppliers when it comes to negotiation, contract lifecycle and performance management. Ensures good communication, information flow and collaboration between different hierarchical levels to pass high quality standards into the company.
The Manager successfully interacts with Procurement Operations in order to collect business needs and secure that category strategy is implemented on plant level. Ensures the highest efficiency combined with innovation, automation to increase value.
