Responsibilities

  • Developing a plant-specific EHS strategy including measures and action plans, taking into account the risks (heat map) and required investments
  • Responsible for the realization and implementation of company-related EHS targets and standards. Reporting locally to plant management and technically to the HSEQ Manager Europe
  • Identifying potential hazards / danger points, e.g. as part of audits, risk assessments
  • Investigating near misses, incidents and accidents
  • Prioritizing the measures to be taken to eliminate weak points using a risk and hazard matrix
  • Advising and supporting employees and managers on specific technical issues
  • Proactively driving forward and actively participating in the planning and implementation of measures to improve EHS issues in the production environment
  • Organizing workshops and training sessions to provide employees and managers with specialist training in the areas of occupational health and safety, health protection and operational environmental management
  • Ensuring EHS-relevant documentation and the timely submission of regular reports to the relevant authorities, also in cooperation with external consultants
  • Responsible for the further development of the management system in accordance with ISO 45001

Requirements

  • University degree in environmental engineering and safety engineering or a comparable engineering degree
  • Certified specialist for occupational safety
  • Several years of professional experience in the areas of occupational safety, health and environmental protection, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Proficient with the MS Office package
  • Structured and independent way of working and good organisational skills
  • Sense of responsibility, independent and reliable way of working, ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts, strong leadership skills.
  • Experience in the necessary Hungarian legislation/regulations and standards (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 50001 etc.), as well as the relevant management systems and certifications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (C1)
