What does this job entail?
In the wise words of our Group CEO: ‘Data is the new electricity.’ In line with the Group strategy, K&H wants to be the reference in the financial sector for all matters relating to data analytics and AI on the Hungarian market. We want to be a data-driven organisation and we are successfully making progress in that direction. As a member of the Data Science team, you’re at the heart of our strategy and together, we will develop artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that transform our business and make sure they are used correctly to deliver business impact.
What do we expect from you?
- You develop AI/ML/GenAI solutions and in order to roll them out successfully, you work closely with your colleagues in business and IT.
- You stay up to date with data science and AI, help to strengthen the foundations within the team in the areas of knowledge and technology and promote data-driven culture throughout the organization.
what you'll need to succeed
Your key strengths?
- Common sense, understanding of business concepts in banking and a strong focus on delivering business value
- Realistic expectations about the amount of data preparation work. Good knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Apache Spark, Pandas, etc.) and ability to orient yourself in complex corporate databases. If you do not know, you find responsible people and ask.
- Experience with data analytics and insight into machine learning, GenAI solutions or natural language processing and knowledge how to implement them in a business context.
- Strong ability when it comes to Python and data science toolsets (pandas, scikit-learn).
- Any experience you have with the following will be a benefit:
- Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras)
- Big data analyses in cloud computing environments (preferably AWS)
- Generative AI solution (document processing, chatbots, agents)
- Git
- You communicate fluently in English and Hungarian. For example, you have no problem clearly explaining an AI solution to the international management team.
- You have a master’s degree or doctorate in Econometrics, Actuarial Sciences, Maths, Applied Sciences, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Physics, or similar discipline.
You’ll catch our eye with any data science experience you have in a business context. But we will still be glad to know about you even if you don’t have the experience; we consider your drive and motivation to be vitally important.
