Controlling & Reporting Specialist - Senior

In this role as a Senior Controlling and Reporting Specialist, you will support top management decisions of Luxembourg entities to improve business outcomes through the use of analytical techniques. As a member of the Accounting, Reporting and Controlling Department, you will provide accurate, reliable, correct and in-time information to the stakeholders on financial performance.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the financial actuals, prepare month-end reporting and flag key financial risks in Vodafone Luxembourg financial statements and support Financial Managers in their financial planning activity. 
• Act as a financial analyst and find and explain discrepancies between actuals and target figures both in financial and non-financial KPIs
• Initiate and drive process developments to make financial reporting even more efficient
• Overview and drive the process controlling function, understand business cases and drive the reporting changes in terms of financial and process controlling
• Calculate financial and commercial KPI-s and provide an explanation of business reasons behind the numbers and understand why figures developed in a way they did. Recognize and interpret trends and go beyond to find specific reasons for outliers
• Proactive problem solving: able to find the root cause and propose solutions. Take ownership of resolution with a can do attitude, escalate when needed
• Using different reporting databases to prepare management reports to senior stakeholders
• Support junior colleagues with your expertise during peak periods

• 3+ years of experience on the field of accounting, financial planning, controlling or financial reporting
• University or college degree preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economics
• Fluent English language knowledge
• Having strong MS Excel skills is a must 
• Confident accounting skills, preferably IFRS
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and knowledge of reconciliation principles 
• Familiar with Trintech Certification Tool is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to maintain flexibility
• Analytical skills and eye for details
• Proactive and driving attitude is needed for the role
