About the position

Currently we are looking for a Channel & Category Development Manager who will be responsible for defining channel strategy including 4P strategy, developing, executing and evaluating shopper activation. Moreover, this person will be preparing recommendations on category assortment and placement by customers in order to grow the category value and increase customer and shopper satisfaction leading to profitable growth for Flora Food Group and the customers. 

Main responsibilities:

Channel & 4P strategy management 
• Co-create channel / customer priority with sales through understanding short-term and long-term business potential, consumer & shopper trends.
• Create BTL investment and activation plan in line with the priorities.
• Translate our strategy into 4P strategy. Assortment recommendation by channel, shelf pricing strategy, promotional depth and frequency.
• Support KAM with assortment recommendation per customer.
• Continuously analyze market trends, share learning and shopper related insights internally and with customers.

Category management cooperation with customers
• Establish the basics of category management in Hungary.
• Define the merchandising guidelines.
• Kick off category management cooperation with modern trade customers keeping in mind the change of category perception as priority.
 
Planning and Execution, coordination and evaluation of trade marketing activities and projects.
• Translate the company and marketing strategy into a rolling activity plan for all relevant off-trade channels and e-commerce.
• Develop shopper marketing activities with financial pre-evaluation and define KPIs.
• Lead and manage the project execution including agency briefing, creative (in-store, out of home, digital) material development, hostess promotion, sampling, production & distribution of materials.
• Prepare post-evaluation of activities based on internal and external data.
• Actively participate in the NPD process: define benchmark, pricing, distribution and ROS strategy, prepare volume and listing input with sales.  

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in trade marketing with category management and in-store activation experience in FMCG sector.
  • Ability to build successful cooperation, team player and natural leader who can easily influence others.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, ability to make insights from information, accountability and structured verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Nielsen.
