Your new role 

We are looking for a skilled C#/.Net developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the performance and maintainability of our custom tool which is used for designing maintenance operations for the Gripen weapon system. Your work will help ensure that maintenance operations are efficient and tailored to customer needs. 
As part of the development team your main objectives will be:

  • Improve the performance and maintainability of the SCT tool.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to rework the data model and transition to a new framework and development environment.
  • Develop a cloud-based application using .Net Blazor to support efficient maintenance operations for various aircraft and base configurations.

What you'll need to succeed 

  • You will bring a strong technical background to this role, with expertise in C# and .Net. Your experience with REST APIs and databases such as MS SQL and PostgreSQL will be crucial in developing and maintaining the SCT tool. Proficiency in building web applications, particularly Single Page Applications (SPAs), will enable you to create a seamless user experience.
  • Your solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns will ensure that the SCT tool is scalable and maintainable. Proficiency in Git and experience with version control systems such as Bitbucket, Artifactory, or Azure DevOps will facilitate efficient code management and collaboration.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field will provide the academic foundation necessary for this role. Additionally, a proven track record in developing and maintaining complex software systems, preferably in a defence or aerospace context, will demonstrate your ability to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, will ensure that you can effectively convey your ideas and collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines.
