We established our service centre supporting Tesco's operation in the Central European region back in 2019. Our colleagues provide service for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in several fields: finance, people and payroll services, colleague and customer engagement, customer and product, enterprise analytics. Besides these, we have a modern Technology Hub developing software and applications used by millions of people - customers and colleagues - globally. The Role

At Tesco Business Solutions, we work to create value for Tesco CE's customers, employees, and partners. In the Commercial Operations stream we mainly work with the Tesco CE buyers (CZ, SK, HU) and their suppliers to guarantee that our customers always get the best offers!

We are now looking for a Buying Operations Manager to join our team. Team's work is crucial in ensuring our internal and external stakeholders effectively utilize our company-developed tools which ensures the smooth operation of processes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record in managing support teams.

Your key responsibilities and duties will be:

  • Managing the daily operations of your team, ensuring adequate capacity and resources
  • Recruiting and coaching to create a high-performing culture
  • Being responsible for meeting the targets (KPI/SLA) of the assigned operational area
  • Providing and getting regular feedback to create an inspiring environment that enables professional development
  • Reporting performance metrics and achievements of the team on a regular basis and identify opportunities to improve
  • Planning staffing requirements including hiring, resource allocation and induction
  • Conducting performance management conversations for team members, mentoring, and coaching them so that they can reach their highest potential
  • Implementing, establishing, and meeting departmental and company goals to improve business outcome
  • Driving engagement with key stakeholders, process owners and buying teams across representative business units (HU, CZ, SK, UK, Bengaluru) and acting as the second level escalation point.
  • Occasionally visiting our stakeholders across the Central European region to establish a smooth and fruitful cooperation.
  • Creating and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure internal hand-offs, ways of working constantly improving
  • Initiating and leading exciting projects and initiatives that generate value to our customers and stakeholders based on business requirements. We listen to your ideas and can't wait to see their positive impact!

Your background

You will be great in this role if you:

  • Have University or college degree
  • Are Fluent in Hungarian
  • Are Fluent in English
  • Are Experienced in People and stakeholder management
  • Are Experienced of using MS Office (Excel, Word & Power point)
  • Have strong analytical, decision-making and communication skills
  • Are a strategic thinker and ready to learn, adopt and drive changes
  • Are good at multitasking
  • Can balance priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
