Responsibilities
• Lead supplier development activities, including managing RFQs, conducting commercial negotiations, and performing new supplier audits
• Prepare and execute procurement plans in line with project milestones and production requirements
• Conduct cost analyses, negotiate pricing and terms, and prepare contract proposals • Monitor market trends and raw material price developments to optimize procurement strategy
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure compliance with technical specifications and on-time delivery • Manage supplier performance issues (quality, delivery, commercial discrepancies) and coordinate continuous improvement actions
• Maintain accurate data in ERP and procurement systems to ensure process compliance • Provide procurement support for new product introductions, including feasibility assessments and cost optimization proposals
Requirements
• University degree in supply chain, logistics, economics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in an automotive environment (Tier 1 preferred), ideally with interior components
• Practical experience in RFQ management, cost breakdown analysis, PPAP/APQP processes, and supplier management tools
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality management systems
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and solid data analysis skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Native Hungarian required, strong English proficiency (C1) for daily communication with international teams
Nice-to-have
• Experience working with global Tier 1 suppliers or OEM customers
• Willingness to travel for short business trips within Europe or to China
