We established our service centre supporting Tesco's operation in the Central European region back in 2019. Our colleagues provide service for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in several fields: finance, people and payroll services, colleague and customer engagement, customer and product, enterprise analytics. Besides these, we have a modern Technology Hub developing software and applications used by millions of people - customers and colleagues - globally. The Role

  • Plan staffing requirements incl. hiring, resource allocation and induction. Conduct performance conversations, developmental feedback sessions with team members. Reward and recognize the effort and results in a timely manner. Coach team members in order to develop them.
  • Support of the billing/invoicing activities of 3 different countries and several legal entities.
  • Work within the team to ensure TGAP, guidelines, Key Financial Controls, other relevant policies and processes are correctly implemented in the country of responsibility.
  • Coordination of all AR team tasks and activities; and new process setup (with cooperation with other Finance teams).
  • Balance sheet reconciliation responsibility (supporting documentations, analysis, explanation of movements, etc.).
  • Period closure activities.
  • Checking the accuracy and timeliness.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with other colleagues.
  • Accountable for the implementation & sustenance of Continuous Improvement mindset and practices within the team.
  • Following the instructions and fulfilling assignments given to me by my line manager and delivering ad hoc tasks.
  • Preparation of statistical reports required by local regulation.
  • Responding to requests for operational and financial data by extracting information from systems and delivering the requested data in a clear and accurate format & preparing ad hoc analysis.
  • Managing all projects concerning Accounts Receivable area.
  • Ensuring 100% compliance to Audit and any other regulations the process deals with.

Please note that this position is fixed-term until June 2027.

Your background

  • University degree
  • 5-6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Advanced English language knowledge
  • Hungarian language knowledge
  • Tax knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Planning and organising/prioritisation skills
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Czech or Slovak language is a plus
