We are looking for a staff member in
ACCOUNTING
position.
One of subsidiary of ZEBRA Co. Ltd., ZEBRA PEN (UK) Ltd. distribute a wide range of ballpoint, gel ink, rollerball and liquid ink pens, as well as mechanical pencils, markers and highlighters across Europe. Zebra Co. Ltd. is one of the largest writing instrument companies in the world, producing high quality writing instruments since 1897 in Japan.
Job Description, main activities:
- Selecting and setting up an ERP system and define the workflows
- Checking and booking of expenses
- Handling and controlling the petty cash
- Booking of sales invoices
- Booking of purchase costs
- Calculation and booking of cost of sales
- Evaluating any VAT issues concerning EU trade such as triangular trade or chain transactions
- Keeping updated about VAT issues by attending seminars
- Filing the monthly sales tax summary report and European Sales Listing (ESL) to the authorities
- Booking of assets and depreciation
- Booking of accruals
- Preparing payments for supplier on time
- Managing contracts and their runtime and cancelation dates
- Creating monthly reports (eg. P&L, BS, sales report and others) for the management which is then used to consolidate with the headquarter in UK.
- Preparing the years end documentation and seeking a consensus with the auditor
- Act as a chief accountant covering all financial aspects of the company.
Requirements, expectation:
- Relevant at least 3-5 years in the same or a similar position
- You have a degree in economics or a secondary degree in financial accounting
- Having minimum 3 years of experience in accounting; advantage if you have up-to-date knowledge in the field of taxation and accounting
- You use MS Excel with confidence
- You learn fast and have excellent communication skills
- You work independently and accurately, and you also love working in a team
- You speak English confidently
