Accounting Specialist - Subject Matter Expert

We’re looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Accounting, Reporting and Control to join our growing team in Budapest.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in global accounting and reporting processes. You’ll work closely with international finance teams to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, process design, and system enhancements all within a dynamic, collaborative global environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in reporting.
• Lead and oversee financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring full compliance with international standards and internal policies.
• Partner with global stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of finance processes.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver analysis and insights to help senior leaders make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with regional subject matter experts to align processes and share best practices globally.

• Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Bring valuable hands-on experience in high-quality month-end closing processes and have a solid financial background, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Have a strong track record in financial accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Have practical experience working with SAP and a strong command of Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Demonstrate excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support both operational and project activities.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with attention to detail and process excellence.
