Accounting Manager

Accounting Operations: 

• Maintain and support Hungarian statutory accounting records (GL, AP, AR, accruals).
• Maintain structured accounting files and statutory documentation in line with local requirements.
• Coordinate with the external tax provider to enable timely and accurate filings (VAT, CIT, Local Business Tax, etc.).
• Prepare and provide source data, reports, and supporting documentation required for filings.
• Support communication with NAV / local authorities in case of questions or inspections, together with the provider and the Director of Finance.

Audit & External Parties:

• Support the annual statutory audit: prepare schedules, reconciliations, and audit support files.
• Liaise with external auditors, accounting/tax advisors, and other consultants as required.
• Track open audit points and support resolution and documentation.

Financial Control & Reporting Support: 

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Reconciling statutory books (US GAAP / Marriott systems) under the guidance of the Director of Finance.
• Support internal controls: ensure accuracy, segregation of duties, and compliance with hotel policies and SOPs.

Collaboration & Support: 

• Support the Finance Director with day-to-day finance activities.
• Assist with training and mentoring team members on accounting procedures. 

• University degree (bachelor’s or higher)
• Good Excel skills.
• Good practical knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax rules.
• Working level of English.
• Hotel or international company experience is an advantage, but not required.
