Lithium is a critical raw material for the global energy transition and is used in battery production, among many other applications. The new business is aiming to benefit from the existing lithium rich brines in the country, MOL’s existing infrastructure and its experience in the traditional Oil & Gas business.
What are the main scopes of the position?
- Professional support for managing project development activities: from planning and permitting, through implementation, to post-evaluation.
- Project generation, establishment of project teams, and directing their work as project manager in consultation with the program leader, preparation of plans, and support for the submission/approval process, project execution, and post-evaluation.
- Professional support for decision-making and resource allocation in project development and field portfolio optimization.
The ideal candidate:
- Holds MSc in Engineering, Economics or Law
- Has at least 6+ years relevant experience
- Has a strong project and stakeholder management experience
- Has an agile way of thinking and is capable to quickly adapt to changing circumstances which come with R&D projects
- Has a strong knowledge/competence in the fields of Technology Development
- Proven experience in DLE technology is a distinctive advantage
- Fluent in English

In case you are more interested about the job in more details, don’t hesitate to read the following main responsibilities and tasks:
- Manage and lead the Lithium project team on a daily basis
- Act as a main point of contact for both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Deliver the program according to the defined implementation plan with full ownership
- Critically assess the best way forward of the project during the pilot and demo phases and propose changes in concept or implementation strategy if necessary
- Manage all external stakeholders (DLE technology providers, authorities)
- Ensure the creation of a fit for purpose commercial and regulatory environment for Lithium
- Collaborate with external suppliers to evaluate, pilot and scale up the best DLE technologies
- Represent MOL Group on external events, conferences and negotiations
- Report on the project regularly regarding scope and budget while ensuring an agile approach is maintained
