Asset Accountant

Tasks

  • Maintain and update Fixed Asset ledger accounts for US GAAP and statutory reporting.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Calculate and record monthly depreciation for fixed assets.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee physical asset counts, tagging process, and asset disposals.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide accurate reporting and respond to inquiries.
  • Participate in process transitions by supporting the onboarding of new processes, documenting procedures, and identifying potential risks.
  • Contribute to process development by recommending automation opportunities, enhancing internal controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in fixed assets or general accounting
  • Experience with SAP and Blackline is a plus, but not a must —we're happy to help you learn!
  • Certifications or special skills relevant to the role are a great advantage, but your willingness to grow and learn is what truly matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills — you'll collaborate with diverse teams and partners across the business.
  • Solid knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting principles — or a strong desire to develop this knowledge.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Experience in process and project management is appreciated, but enthusiasm for driving improvements is even more valuable.
  • Innovative mindset with both analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, along with an additional European language — a passion for learning languages is also welcomed.
