Group DS Circular Chemicals Recycling Feedstock Manager
Scope:
The Group DS Circular Chemicals Recycling Feedstock Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the waste feedstock supply strategy for all recycling activities within MOL Group. This includes both mechanical and chemical recycling of polyolefins to create a new, profitable, and growing sustainable chemical portfolio while supporting the sustainability goals of the Downstream division.
The role involves defining and supervising the execution of waste feedstock sourcing processes and identifying new business development opportunities to secure the necessary feedstock for the commercial recyclate pipeline.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leads the creation and implementation of the waste feedstock supply strategy within MOL Group.
- Defines and implements Group-wide waste feedstock sourcing processes after approval.
- Conducts market intelligence on waste supply value chains inside and outside Europe and maintains a waste value chain database.
- Identifies, prioritizes, and contracts waste feedstock suppliers to establish a reliable supply pipeline. Ensures alternative sources of supply for all recycling projects.
- Prepares purchase price proposals and leads feedstock price negotiations to optimize financial outcomes.
- Develops and maintains relationships with current and future suppliers, owning the supply pipeline.
- Supports the Circular Chemicals business line growth by contributing to business cases and due diligence for organic and inorganic investments.
- Monitors and reports market trends through market studies, internet research, exhibitions, and customer visits.
- Identifies profitability drivers, proposes strategic actions, and evaluates waste feedstock markets for potential acquisitions to secure feedstock through backward integration.
- Supervises feedstock market developers and closely collaborates with DS and MOL Group departments, especially the Chemical Business Unit, Circular Economy Services, and external partners.
- Manages the business team with ownership, ensuring sustainable solutions and customer-focused operations while developing and mentoring subordinates.
- Ensures compliance with legal and company regulations, including the Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest rules, HSE, and Data Protection policies.
- Represents the company at professional associations, industry events, and trade shows, increasing awareness of MOL Group activities among potential partners and industry influencers.
- Performs job duties safely and in compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations and defined management system requirements.
Requirements:
- MSc degree in Economics, Business Management, or Engineering.
- Customer focus, team leadership, business acumen, market insight, and proven international experience.
- Procurement process knowledge, pipeline management, value selling, active listening, waste value chain expertise, communication skills, risk assessment, decision-making, and stakeholder management.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience; experience in the waste management industry is an advantage.
- Advanced English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- B category driving license.
