Commodity Cost Engineer

Tasks / Feladatok

• Ensure cost transparency for components and processes
• Find cost down potentials in serial and new projects
• Conduct cost evaluation, consulting, and support for basic and preliminary development
• Support the purchasing department in price negotiations
• Standardize cost analysis across the product portfolio/commodities
• Develop tools (e.g., cycle time calculator, parametric evaluation models) to increase efficiency

Requirements / Elvárások

• Technical or business studies (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering)
• Experience in Cost Engineering for more than 2 years for Plastic & Elastomer Parts
• Experience with value analysis and cost analysis projects, preferably in the automotive industry is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and interests
• Business fluent in English; other languages are an advantage
• Expertise in Siemens TcPCM would be beneficial
• Cost Engineering Experiences in other mechanical technologies (e.g. Punched & Bent, machining, …)
• Certification as a Value Engineer is an advantage
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Ability to clearly present data insights to non-technical stakeholders
