Responsibilities

The Sous Chef serves as the right hand of the Executive Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring seamless service. Responsible for supervising the brigade, supporting Chef de Partie, and stepping in for the Executive Chef as needed, the Sous Chef ensures that every dish meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily kitchen service, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to the Executive Chef’s standards.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Support and manage Chef de Partie and junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, professionalism, and skill development.
  • Service Coverage: Step in for the Executive Chef during off days or absences and demonstrate the ability to cover any kitchen position as required.
  • Quality Control: Monitor preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure dishes meet luxury standards.
  • Coordination & Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Executive Chef, dining room staff, and other departments to ensure smooth service.
  • Training & Development: Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain high operational standards.
