Senior Apple Purchasing Operations Specialist

Your role in a nutshell: 

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee, manage and encompass a broader financial aspect of Apple business of VPC (Vodafone Procurement Company) such as the governance of Apple Bill of Exchange (BoE) program. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies. The role involves senior stakeholder management, particularly in relation to the Apple BoE program, and requires effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders (VF Group & External).

Key responsibilities include managing the collation of data and execution of BoE transactions, overseeing the account payable side of the process for all Terminals Apple accounts, and cooperating closely with other Teams for eg. by creating execution plans for the Invoice Processing Team. The role also involves providing official forms and documentation to the Group Treasury and different financial institutions for BoE purposes. Additionally, the role requires controlling and supervising all AP-related activities for Apple accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency on the payment side.

Beyond the BoE program, contributing to the overall finance strategy, ensuring robust financial controls and supporting financial planning and analysis activities are also part of the role. This person will work closely with various financial departments to ensure alignment with the VPC's objectives, providing insights and recommendations to drive the financial performance and support business growth. 

What you’ll do:

  • Collate data, create weekly AP reports and share it with Group Finance/Treasur for governance reasons
  • Support Treasury Managers through BoE submission, providing inputs, statuses and remove blockers
  • Participate in workshops, conference calls with Financial Institutions as part of the BoE program
  • Coordinate with internal teams (IP, ICO, Claims, AppleOps) to enable timely processing of all AP side documents
  • Organise regular /ad-hoc conference calls and workshops with a key supplier and internal teams
  • Recognise and report deflection from contractually agreed procedures and actively suggest corrective actions
  • Initiate/dive different projects aiming to improve the quality of the existing internal processes
  • Representation of the team during stakeholder visits
  • Reconcile financial statements, complete month-end accruals
  • Deliver internal/ external audit requests and update process documentation on a regular basis
  • Testing of new internal systems, and tools and answer queries from suppliers during implementation

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Finance & Supply Chain
  • Relevant Accounts Payable (AP) knowledge
  • Experience in project management and SSC environment
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English
  • Advanced SAP and reporting skills
  • Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented focus
  • Application of efficient escalation methods
