Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant role will support the Lifestyle Professional Solutions business unit as a member of the Global SSC Finance team.
The Cost Accountant will work under moderate supervision and be responsible for daily product costing, monthly reports and analyses, month-end closing activities, periodic standard cost rolls, and inventory account reconciliations.
The role requires collaboration with various groups of accounting, controlling, manufacturing, materials management and purchasing people.

• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization
• Calculate product costs
• Oversee the annual cost roll
• Analyze product cost changes to determine what factors are in the background
• Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
• Process journal vouchers and assist in monthly closing
• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect product costs
• Prioritizes and plans work activities to meet time schedules, goal objectives, special projects or informational needs of the plants
• Assist in audits and general ledger preparation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent communication in Hungarian and English, both written and verbal
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail with superb organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
