Accounting Expert (8. district, 4 home office /week)

Our client invests in technologies important in a world where billions of devices are connected. There are three businesses: network infrastructure software, hardware, and services.


It has a Financial Shared Services Center in Budapest with about 260 employees providing financial services globally.


The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of accounting or audit experience in SSC, Big4, or an accounting service provider company, and fluent English knowledge.

Your tasks will be as an Accounting Expert:

  • Responsibility for IFRS accounting & reporting for the defined countries in scope focusing on
  • BS review and P&L variance analysis
  • Maintenance of close checklist
  • Maintenance of error log
  • Aged item management: identify, escalate, follow up
  • Performs regular accounting tasks
  • Booking incoming and outgoing payments
  • Clearing GL accounts (matching payments vs invoices
  • Manages, monitors, and controls the outsourced AP activities (tasks provided by external Service provider)
  • Monitoring the correctness of AP postings
  • Monitoring the payment proposals
  • Ensures that the right process is followed and that processes are compliant with the company’s global policies and processes
  • Support to external services provider on WHT matters
  • Monitor and support the payroll GL account reconciliation
  • Issuing sales invoices on an irregular basis
  • Testing new SAP accounting solutions in a test environment
  • Reviewing statistical reports prepared by the external service provider
  • Single point of contact for auditors in case of any questions on bank statements/balances / bank movements
  • Support to Finance Accounting Manager with questions and issues arising from daily business concerning accounting; including Service Provider support

  • Fluent in English
  • Experience and a good understanding of statutory and accounting processes (full-scale accounting)
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a wide range of accounting areas
  • Economics degree
  • External service provider management experience is an advantage
  • Excellent capacity to retain new things (fast learner)
  • Technology focused
  • Communication skills and service-minded attitude
