Accounting Advisor
Tasks
- Assist reporting units in drafting and reviewing position papers
- Conduct research to address accounting issues, evaluate complex investment transactions, and propose accounting treatment adjustments
- Establish a network with external peers for benchmarking financial statements, document consultations
- Manage position papers in the Group SharePoint Database
- Participate in international projects, monitor relevant (inter)national developments
- Maintain accounting policies and manuals, review financial statements for compliance
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisors
We are looking for an Accounting Advisor for our client who is one of the largest providers of life insurance in Hungary.
In this role, you'll use your accounting expertise to monitor international financial reporting developments. You'll lead complex projects and provide guidance on accounting advisory matters for senior management.
Skills:
- Chartered accountant qualification
- Min. 5 years of accounting and reporting experience
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with developing requirements on sustainability reporting
- Ability to provide accounting advice through understanding the business environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Background in Financial Institutions or Big4 environment is a great plus
- A proactive mindset, coupled with a strong commitment to adhering to and meeting deadlines, is essential
- Prior experience in an international, multinational setting
