The Account Executive is a strategic resource for the C.H. Robinson Global Forwarding network. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic to implement, manage/grow and execute small / medium size / erosion accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to take the first step into the world of account management, and develop the commercial skills that are required in this field. We already have a strong team of three fantastic, experienced Account Managers at LHR that this person will be joining, who will act as mentors in their development as we continue to grow and build out our customer experience.


  • Negotiate at a core level, manage pricing strategy through a clear understanding of customer buying habits and CHRs position within the customer’s supply chain
  • Establish and maintain relationships with day to day, weekly and monthly contacts
  • Keep informed of changes within the customer’s business, industry and sector through regular customer communication, applying this knowledge to identify new opportunities
  • Create Account SOP’s as part of the defined ‘Implementation Process’ which the Account Management Team is responsible for
  • Consistently ensure execution of business through local Branch procedures
  • Build trusting relationships by ensuring quality execution against expectations and collaborating with internal partners to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Create / Review internal account metrics on a regular basis (Bi-weekly)
  • Partners with sales, operations and product/supply teams to ensure optimal implementation and execution through the use of SOPs, best in class business processes, and mutually agreed upon customer KPI’s
  • Collaborates and actively communicates with partners on the sales and product/supply team regarding customer needs, issues and solutions in order to meet customer expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 Years of operational industry experience within Global Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills, other European languages are beneficial
  • Proven ability to create and coordinate comprehensive proposals
  • Clear and confident communication skills at all levels
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
  • Some experience and affinity with sales/commercial activities
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
